The conference explores the changing nature of Nordic labour markets, industrial relations, employment relationships and working life.
10.06.2020 kl. 09.00 - 12.06.2020 kl. 12.30
Around the world, the Nordic labour markets are acknowledged for strong economic performance, social security, high equality, collective bargaining, job quality, and social trust. However, changes in the nature of work and modern capitalism is challenging and transforming the Nordic labour markets. New technologies and digital work platforms change employment relationships and working conditions. Polarization and precarization of the labour market reduces income equality and social trust. Labour migration and new preferences challenges traditional collective bargaining systems. The NWLC 2020 explores among other things the history, evolution and sustainability of the Nordic models, similarities and differences between the Nordic countries, the management of current challenges, and how working life is transforming in the Nordic countries. We welcome researchers and practitioners from within and outside the Nordic countries to participate in the conference.
